Layout Settings don't saved
5 replies · Started by Jon Ander on June 20, 2021
Hi there,
Using GP+ GP-Pro + GP-blocks
It doesn't save correctly layout settings.
- Content container: Full Width
- Disable: title + featured.
I want to design something like this header part: https://mapatek.com/sector/
I can see it correctly in the editor: layout settings in editor
It shows disabled elements and no full width: https://mapatek.com/poblacion-extranjera-gipuzkoa/
thanks in advance
Hi Jon,
Let's try debugging things.
to start, can you try disabling ALL plugins except GP Premium and GenerateBlocks and see if it still doesn't save? This is to check if the cause is a plugin conflict.
If you have a child theme, can you disable it as well? Also, if you've added a PHP snippet on the parent theme's functions.php, can you remove it? To check if the cause is a PHP snippet.
Can you also try to clear ALL cache(from plugin, from server cpanel and from browser)? To be sure it's not a simple caching problem.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Elvin,
Thanks for the answer.
All plugin disabled.
No child theme, just "simple CSS"
Based os https://generatepress.com/site-library>> agency
Some prebuilt elements in this theme >> https://drive.google.com/file/d/1KMWE1qcTLmqGt0UiqyChbQV92o3EuF_B/view?usp=sharing
Cache cleared wise man ;-)
thanks!
Can you check on Appearance > Elements if there are any Layout Elements? A layout element can conflict with a post or page's Layout Metabox. Perhaps there is one that's conflicting with your page-specific layout meta settings. :D
Let us know.
Resolved!
It was the element module.
Thanks!
Nice catch! No problem. Glad to be of any help. :D
