layout - page content width

Hi,
I'm struggling with the layout -> the width of the container.
In the customizer -> Layout I have set up container-width: 1200px and also added some content padding.
However when I work in the editor and preview the page the content goes 'out of' the container, it's much wider than the 1200px.
Theme Vinyasa
GP version 3.3
p.s. in the customizer -> layout I don't see the so-called 'content-container' option.
Thanks.
Hmmm...,
I now see that I can add a 'content-container' in the editor itself, if I do so the content width is OK, it stays within the layout. But the top and bottom still don't follow the padding that I've set up in the 'General' layout settings in the Customizer.
Hi there,
Any chance you can link us to the page in question?
You can use the private information field:

Let me know :)
Please see the link, thanks.
But the top and bottom still don’t follow the padding that I’ve set up in the ‘General’ layout settings in the Customizer.
That's the expected behaviour and is explained here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/#full-width
Does that help?
Let me know :)
Not really sorry ;-)
If I add a new page and don't add a container/content container in the editor there is no spacing at all, while in the Customizer I have set up max. 1200px width and some padding.
So I don't understand why these Customizer settings don't apply to the page?
Please see the link to the page where this occurs.
And, in the page itself, at the right below layout the option: Content Container - Choose your content container type is disabled (I can't select).
Hi Petri,
Can you go to Appearance > Elements and check if you have a Layout Element enabled? If you have one and you're setting a Content width setting there, that may be the issue.

Hello Fernando,
You are right that's was the problem, there was a 'Full page layout block' that came with the installed theme, I wasn't aware...
Thank you for your help!
You're welcome, Petri!
