Client reported she could disable content title on new pages. Upon checking I see that the entire layout metabox is missing except for Page headers. IF I create a new page it is missing. Existing pages have it. Even the layout checkbox is missing from Screen options.

Hi there,
Any chance you can disable all plugins except GP Premium to eliminate conflicts from other plugins first?
And make sure you are logged in as admin.

Not on the live site. I spun up a staging site and it is showing on the staging site. And yes I am logged in as an admin.
Hmm I don’t believe this is GP issue as WordPress handles the editor side of things.
GP can’t tell whether it’s a staging site or live site either.
Have you tried disabling all plugins on the live site?
I can’t disable plugins on the live site at this point.(perhaps late tonight). The staging site is the exact copy on the same hosting. All plugins updated. Cache cleared. Different browsers tried.
It is weird that the old Page Header meta box is showing instead. This just happened this week it was fine last week. WE are in the midst of adding an entirely new section with multiple pages which we can’t set up (hide content title, set to full-width, hide featured images). Luckily, most pages were created so they are showing the metabox.
On a side note:
How do I give editors access to the layout metabox?Unfortunately it’s basically not possible to identify the issue without going through the debugging steps – especially it works in the staging site.
And since it worked before, something must have changed in the live site.
