Layout at bottom of page and not in Document Panel

All of a sudden, the Layout section (Sidebars, Footer Widgets, Disable Elements, Page Builder Container) has moved over to the bottom the page instead of in the Document Panel. How do I get it back to the Document Panel?

Are you using the Gutenberg editor?

I am using the Block Editor that is standard with WordPress 5.5.1.

I actually noticed that issue as well but unfortunately that seems to be a Gutenberg bug and nothing we can fix from our end.

The only solution I found was to reset the whole site but that's definitely not ideal.

Hi there,

this has been a long standing issue raised almost 2 years ago with Gutenberg - here is the latest comment on that issue - which may assist:

Reseting the site effectively means wiping your current site so it is a clean install.... which is i assume is not an option.
