Latest posts (one or more) as a dynamic content block

Hi,
I guess this is a feature request:
I have read about this on the support forum and as I understand it it's not something that can be done right now.
It would be a very nice feature to be able to create a content block or hook or other that can fetch the latest post from one category (or several posts from several categories) with the new GP 2.0.
Is this something you have any plans on creating?

that is currently something you would use WP Show Posts to do.
We are looking at options to upgrade WP Show Post to a Block Based plugin, and also looking at this kinda function in GenerateBlocks Pro.

It would be good to have as a block based thing, since the styling / CSS of WP Show Posts must be done manually.
But I hope that the GP team will develop a block based solution for fetching blog posts/categories dynamically.
