[Resolved] Killing jQuery for good, but Sticky and Infinite Scroll are harshing my mellow.

In a recent post on Sticky Navigation, the user pointed out that it required jQuery. A response said it’s the only theme feature that requires jQuery.

As I experiment with 3.0.0rc and 1.12.1 Premium, I see that infinite scroll also loads jQuery.

Are there any plans on switching over to “Vanilla JS” for this as well?

There are no concrete plans currently but we will definitely try to improve those scripts to Vanilla JS when it’s time to update those option 🙂

We do plan on using vanilla JS for the sticky nav.

Infinite scroll requires jQuery, so no plans there as of right now.
