Keep Secondary Header in Place
7 replies · Started by DJ on April 30, 2020
I changed my main menu to no navigation and my secondary menu set to below header. Now when scrolling the secondary menu no longer stays in place. I set it to sticky, but it still won't stay in place. Please advise as to how I can set this in place.
Thanks
Hi there,
Sticky Navigation only applies to the Primary Navigation.
Ok. Is there any code that can be added to my site to get this effect? I'm trying to get my site's header and menu to look similar to this site https://kghawes.com/ when initially visiting my homepage and the effect when scrolling to the menu.
Why not just use the Primary Navigation and set its location Below Header ?
Appreciate it David. That was recommended to me earlier, but I didn't get the desired results. Now that I reflect upon what I did, I realize that I did not set Site Header under Elements Global Header and Home Header to Below Header. I was only changing the settings under Customize > Layout. Thanks! On a side note, how do you change the word home to house icon on the menu bar?
Hi there,
You could try a plugin like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-menu-icons/
Thanks for the suggestion Tom. I found some code to use in the widget section that gave me the look I was seeking.
Awesome :)
