Just purchased GP-Premium, went to install it to word press and received this message. The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    Hi Carla,

GP Premium is a plugin, so you have to install it through the Plugins area.

    More here: http://www.generatepress.com/knowledgebase/install-activate-addons/

    Did you activate the plugin?

Once it’s uploaded and activated, you should be good to go.

Then go to “Appearance > GeneratePress” to activate your email so you can receive all of the future updates.

    Let me know πŸ™‚

Yes, I activated it. Then I deleted, re uploaded, activated it again, and it still isn’t in there.

I can see the file in the media section as a zipped file and in the plug in section i can see the entire GP bundle as activated, but I cannot see the individual add-ons or GP in the appearance section.

Have you enabled the addons you want active? Go to “Appearance > GeneratePress” – near the bottom you’ll see all of the addons listed out in a table.

Click enable next to the addons you want to use πŸ™‚

Everything is working now. I had only downloaded the plugins, finally I figured that out, and went back and downloaded the other file… πŸ˜‰ Sorry, I’m a total newbie!
