Issues with widgets in my sidebar
5 replies · Started by Jude on September 12, 2022
Recently I have been playing around with the widget in my sidebar, and somehow there appeared a search bar and an extensive archive section in my right sidebar that are not there in any of my blocks. I even deleted all my widgets to get a write of it, but there are zero widgets active, yet they are there, and I have to know how to get a write of it.
Can this issue have something to do since I used classic editor instead of blocks?
Can this have something to do that I have changed the background colours of my widget in customizing function?
How can I please get a write of the grey search block and the pink-coloured archive list in the two widgets on my sidebar, which I don't want to have there a d not exist in my block editor in WordPress?
Hi Jude,
Looking at it, it seems to be coming from Appearance > Widgets. Can you check in Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Right sidebar as well if it's empty there as well?
If it's empty, can you try clearing all caching mechanisms you have?
Lastly, if that doesn't work as well, can you share temporary admin credentials so we can take a closer look?
Please use the Private Information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/?s=private+information
Ok, thank you. I had already taken all those steps before contacting Generate press.
I have put the link to access my website temporarily in the private links section.
Thank you for your help.
Thank you.
Can you try adding a Block in Appearance > Widgets > Right sidebar? Let's first check if something will change.
Let us know how it goes.
Hi Fernando, it seems to work. Thanks for your help; let's hope it keeps staying like this now.
Thanks a lot for your help.
You're welcome Jude!
