Issues with sections (latest versions of theme & plugin)

Hi guys,

I'm currently re-designing a site that was built with another theme and I'm facing some layout issues building the homepage (Catalyst site) with sections that include shortcodes.

- Excerpts from pages are not respecting the length in words defined in WP Show Posts plugin
- Layout in 3 columns defined with The Post Grid plugin are displaying in a single column when the shortcode is used inside a section while it displays correctly when used in a standard page.
