Issues with full screen merged hero and white space under hero

I'm writing with two issues which you can see in this example here:

I've checked the "full screen" box on the merge page hero page, but my image still isn't appearing full screen. Is there something else I need to do?
Also, there's quite a bit of white space appearing directly below the hero. Is there a way to make that smaller?

the Full Width option only controls the width of the container.
If you want to see 100% of the image, then you need to select the Container Block and in the Spacing > Minimum Height field:
a) set the units to VW
b) the value in the field must equal the % aspect ratio of the image.
height / width * 100 = %aspect ratio
For the url you provided that image is:
1280 / 1920 * 100 = 67%
So in the Minimum Height you want 67
2. In Customizer > Layout > Container - reduce the Top Padding.
