Issues with Donate and Page Builders

Hello - I am relatively new to generatepress. I recently installed from your site library, the donate starter site.
I installed Elementor Pro, and as soon as I went to edit the homepage, it got blown away. I reinstalled and tried the Divi builder and ran into the same problem.
Is this starter site not compatible with Page builders, especially the homepage of Donate? Or are there any visual page builders that work with this starter site?

Donate template is not using any page builders, it's using the Gutenberg editor which is the WP default editor.
You don't need to install any page builder plugin to modify this template.

Thank you Ying. I guess my problem is that I prefer to use either Elementor or Divi Builder over Gutenberg. Is there a way to use a page builder on the homepage?
Not as far as I know, you will need to create new pages using page builder.
