Hey GP Support,
Once I didn’t want my product’s cathegory with URL parameters, I changed the permalinks of my woocommerce. Turns out that neither the checkout page nor the blog’s archive and posts don’t work anymore (404).
What should I do in that case? (my website is on a staging area)
Thay you for your help! =D
June 24, 2019 at 5:01 pm #940024LeoStaffCustomer SupportHi there,
Can you try re-saving the permalinks and see it helps?
Let me know π
June 24, 2019 at 5:10 pm #940028CarlosHey Leo, thank you for answering!
I tried as you said but the Not Founds continues. Is there anything else that I can do?
June 24, 2019 at 5:13 pm #940030LeoStaffCustomer SupportHmm that’s the only thing I can think of.
Try clearing any caching plugin if you are using any?
Might be good to check with your host as well if that doesn’t help either.

June 24, 2019 at 5:14 pm #940032CarlosYes, becouse I’m building the new version of my website in a staging area!
June 24, 2019 at 5:15 pm #940033LeoStaffCustomer SupportSorry I missed that part in the initial topic.
Edited my answer above though so make sure you see it:
https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/issue-with-site-navigation-blog-and-checkout-page/#post-940030June 24, 2019 at 5:33 pm #940041CarlosI’m not using any caching plugin. So what lasts to me is contating my host? What can I ask for exacly?
June 24, 2019 at 5:42 pm #940044LeoStaffCustomer SupportBasically exactly what you said in the original topic.
It’s a staging server so it might have some sort of cache or something we aren’t aware of.
Let me know π
June 24, 2019 at 5:47 pm #940048CarlosMy staging area is not on a different domain or server. It’s only in another folder in the same ftp.
I’m using wp-staging for it, so I’m sure that there is no cache of the server =D
I’m awere of that because I returned check on the Simple (URL parameter) permalink and everything turned back to normal. But the issue is that I can’t be with those URL’s parameters… Isn’t anything else I can do? (https://i.imgur.com/ygjUqAL.png)
June 24, 2019 at 6:12 pm #940059LeoStaffCustomer SupportSorry I’m a bit confused. So are you still having the same issue as before?
Or you are trying to change the URL now?
What if you create a new page now and assign it to be the blog page and do the same for the checkout page?
Let me know if I’m missing something here π
June 26, 2019 at 3:25 pm #942338CarlosHey Leo,
Yes, I’m having the same issue as before. What I’m telling you is that the problem is not with the cache becouse I set the permalink structre as “Plain” back again and it worked.
But what I’m trying to do is to clean my URLs (removing the question marks). If I do this, my new landing pages, blog posts and checkout page returns Not Foud.
I already tryed what you suggested but the problem continues…
Is that anything else that I can provide to you help me better?
Thanks!
June 26, 2019 at 4:06 pm #942350LeoStaffCustomer SupportSo the theme itself doesn’t control/interfere with WordPress permalink functions as well.
Can you quickly test it with a WP default twenty series theme and see if the issue still exists?
If so it might be good to check with WordPress support to see if we are both missing something here.
Let me know π
June 26, 2019 at 4:16 pm #942354CarlosLeo,
I made some chances on the permalink settings and now everything is working just fine!
Thank you for your support, though.
Best,
Carlos
June 26, 2019 at 4:19 pm #942357LeoStaffCustomer SupportAwesome!
