Issue with fonts in header code despite theme deleted

Hi,

I've decided to change theme on a couple of my websites. I created the new version of the website in staging and made live. However 3 font files seem to be in the header that relate to GeneratePress and Elementor, both of which have been deleted. Why does this code remain once the theme and plugins are deleted?

Gary

Hi there,

i am not seeing any reference to GP or Elementor font requests in the site.
These are the only fonts being loaded:

All of them are being requested from the wp-content/fonts - GP doesn't add fonts in that folder - so some other plugin would have added them. And the first two links have the preload attribute - which is not a default setting so maybe another cache/optimization/font plugin is still in place that was preloading those links.

Hi,

If you look at waterfall chart in Matrix speed test or right click view source when on home page you will see the three Font files.

I have no idea what other plugin could be causing it as the only cache plugin used is the supercache plugin Siteground provide.

Gary

Hi David,

Thanks I think it's sorted. Indeed in the supercacher settings there is an option to preload fonts and the GeneratePress and Elemwntor font files were still showing despite the plugins being removed and deleted. What's alarming is that Siteground didn't think to mention to check their own plugin!

Thanks
Gary

Glad to be of help
