    Hi Tom,

After updating to GPP 1.5 I’ve got problems with featured image size settings not applying to images on blog category page. My settings are 300×300 and I display posts in columns. Hope it’s all clear. Thanks for your help!

    Hi Bart,

So I logged into your site using the details you sent me, and duplicated it. Then I installed it on my localhost server.

So, same settings, content, plugins etc..

    The images resized: https://www.screencast.com/t/X4xwdHPzy4

That means we’re looking at something server related.

Can you check your error_log file on your server and see if there’s any recent entries concerning resizing images?

    Thanks!

    For others experiencing something similar:

The new image resizer in GPP 1.5 tries not to overload your server resources, so it waits until there’s enough resources available to process the images.

If you find it taking too long, you can use a plugin like this: https://en-ca.wordpress.org/plugins/wp-crontrol/

Once installed, check for any cron events with this in the name: image_processing_queue

Manually run the cron event, and your images will resize.

For Bart, this happened automatically, it just took about half an hour due to resource usage. In most cases, it should happen immediately.
