Issue with a section on large desktop

Hi,
On large desktop (> 1400 px) i want to have the content width a bit condensed, not full width.
I have an issue with the first section on this page: https://www.eastlondonelectricians.co.uk/
it don't use generate blocks, but the default gutenberg text & media block.
I'v set the section max-width to 1350px, it works in other theme but not on generatepress.
Thanks.
Hi there,
why not use the GenerateBlocks plugin ? Real simple to set up with the Container and Grid block and you have the benefit of full styling and responsive controls.... whereas with the Cover Block you are going to have to throw CSS at it to deal with the terrible responsive layout.
Hi David,
Thanks for your response.
I haven't used generateblock because i had an issue with full height images on grid section.
I addressed the issue in this post: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/how-to-have-images-take-full-heights-in-a-two-grid-container/#post-1954412
We can help fix the issue with the full height image.
I would suggest you start by setting the Content Container to Full Width:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/content-container/
This will give you a clean content canvas to work with.
Then use the GB Container Block to split the pages into sections. You can set full width bakground colors if required and define the inner container width if you need varying width sections.
With that in place just add your grid blocks to create the layout
