JP
Hey there,
I’m trying to build a post grid layout like this (link), and have Generate Press, generate blocks, and show posts. I’ve looked through other forum posts and the settings, and can’t find a way to achieve this configuration. Is it possible? If so, can the GP team please advise how to configure it?
Thanks!

Hi JP,
For the Blog and Archive pages, this should be possible through a Content Template.
Example: https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnuyPjmr
Screen recording sample: https://share.getcloudapp.com/wbuzpEX2
How it looks: https://share.getcloudapp.com/z8uL2ell
Reference: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-content-template/
You’ll also need to disable “Display posts in columns” in Appearance > Customize > Layout > Blog as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/v1ug8wE8
With regards to WPSP, you’ll need custom CSS to achieve that.
I believe that the Query Loop Block in the upcoming GenerateBlocks update should allow you to design your query as you prefer.
Hope this helps! 🙂

Thanks for providing these resources! Apologies for not mention this, but my goal is to add this post grid styling on the homepage (example here). To confirm, you’re saying it “is possible” to style a post grid on the homepage like shown in the screenshot? But I’d need to use custom CSS?
Best,

Yes, currently, you would need custom CSS for that. When GenerateBlocks, gets officially updated, you could try doing it there.
For testing, you could also try out the upcoming update here: https://github.com/tomusborne/generateblocks/tree/release/1.5.0
Hope this clarifies. 🙂

Thank you Fernando, appreciate it. We are looking to implement this layout before that update roles out. So would the GP team be able to advise on what CSS should be applied to achieve this grid on the homepage? Or is there another plugin we could use?

Are you using WPSP as you’ve mentioned? Can you provide the link to the site in question with the WPSP list displayed, and I’ll see what I can do?
You may use the private information field for this: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/using-the-premium-support-forum/#private-information
Hope to hear from you soon. 🙂

Yes, I believe so – here’s a screenshot of the blocks layout on the homepage (link). I also added the site in the private info field. Would really appreciate any help to accomplish this!

Thank you for adding the link to your site.
It seems you’re using “Ultimate Addons for Gutenberg” plugin to generate your Query, and not WPSP. It would be best to reach out to the support of this plugin with regards to it as this is out of our scope and expertise.
Hope this clarifies. 🙂
