Hello, GeneratePres Team!
I have made some customization on my blog with help of your team.
I have added icons before comments and last updated date. You have recommended to install the FontAwesome plugin…
But it is causing slow loading speed… is there any method I can use icons on my blog without this plugin?

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
I believe Elementor is already loading FA by default so using the official FA plugin shouldn’t make too big of a difference – worth doing some speed test with/without the plugin.
This is another option:

As you said, there is no need to use Official FontAwesome plugin because elementor is also loading FA by default.
If I deactivate FA, Data icon on single post stop working…
Can you please look into it… Because of FA, my website is taking time to load.

StaffCustomer SupportThen you might need to check with Elementor to see if they can load FA through the entire site even when Elementor is not.
If not then IcoMoon is probably the way to go.

I have two icons on a single post…
Comments and Date… When I disable FA, data icon stop working but Comments still work…
How I can check whether the element is working for the entire website?
I have deactivated the FA, can you check it for me… Please open a post on site.

And please look at the WaterFall of this performance report by GTMetrix: https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.staymeonline.com/I99I0g4e
At the bottom, you can see there are tons of Icons loading from kit-free.fontawesome.com even after deactivating FA.

StaffCustomer SupportThe difference I’m seeing is that one is FA free:

https://www.screencast.com/t/wLmqwwBGI’m not sure where the
kit-free.fontawesome.com
is coming from.Have you tried disabling all plugins to test?
Make sure to clear and disable your caching plugin to make sure all cache is cleared.
IcoMoon or SVG icons are the only other options I can think of.

But I am using only FA Free only.
Can you please solve the icon issue, I will disable all plugins to see where those requests are coming from.

Hello, Leo!
Thanks for the help, but I was worried because my website was loading slow.
And I thought It is because of FA plugin.
But, I was wrong!
The fonts request for which I shared the screenshot of GTMetrix was not caused by FA.
Rather, I have added this code by Insert header and Footer plugin:
<script src="https://kit.fontawesome.com/910c6bd718.js"></script>
Thanks for your suggestion…
Deactivation all plugins and activating them one by one always works.
