Is there a way to create our own demo sites/skins?

Wondering if it's possible to create our own pre-made sites/skins and use the same process as the one used when installing a demo site from GP.

Thanks,
Al

Hi Leo,

Yes, exactly for the first part, but then is it possible to import it to another site with the zip?

My apologies if this is obvious and I'm missing it :)

Thank you for the speedy answer.
Al

Hey Al,

Not with the .zip, unfortunately.

As of right now, the files need to be hosted on our server in order for them to display within the Site Library.

We're thinking of removing this limitation so you could upload the files to your own server, and then add the site to the Library with a snippet of code.

That's great news Tom, this would be great to build out some starter templated sites.

Assuming the snippet of code would be for us to import our own sites correct? not share them in the GP library (could get messy LOL)

Thanks
Al

That's correct, it would be local to your installations where the code is active.

Been a while :) - wondering if this is still in scope in the near future Tom? Hope all is well

Been thinking about it more lately.

The risk of people installing low quality/insecure sites from third-party sources is very real, and wouldn't be a good look.

However, if we had some sort of disclaimer the user had to agree to so they are 100% aware they're installing a third-party site, I think it would be possible.

Yes, agreed - but in my case I just want to be able to have my own skins/sites that I can pull in easily like the same process that your flow uses :) Thank you so much for the speedy and promising response.

Thank you.

Yea, that would definitely be useful.

I'll see what I can do in 1.11.0 :)
