[Support request] Is it necessary to create a child theme of GP?

Dear Tom,

New user here. Great theme by the way.

I need to know if it is necessary/recommendable that I create a child theme of GP? Reading online, many people way it’s the way to go. If so, how do you suggest I go about it?

Hi there,

It’s only necessary if you’ll be overwriting core template files like page.php etc..

Adding CSS and PHP functions can be done using plugins, so there’s no need for a child theme.
