When I have a child theme, I’m wondering if “vanilla” Generatepress is a stable fallback theme, or if I also need a standard WP theme (i.e. twenty-twentyone). If I have more than two themes, how does WP know which one to use as the default? Presumably the order is: Child, else “parent GP theme”, else standard WP. Is that correct?

    Hi there,

The parent GP theme is needed in order for the child theme to work.

You don’t need a standard theme installed if you don’t want to.

    Hope this answers your question.
