Just use cpanel or ftp to delete the wp-content/themes/generatepress/ folder and temporarily choose other theme and wait for Tom.

Daily Backups is one of the keys to success….. Just restored the generatepress directory from yesterdays backup and good for now……

same here:
Fatal error: Can't use function return value in write context in /www/htdocs/v156177/wp/wp-content/themes/generatepress/inc/template-tags.php on line 479
A Quick fix for gettin the site running again (but with an other theme):
FTP to you site. Rename “generatepress” Folder in “wp-content” to something else i.e. old_generatepress. Your site will be blank afterwards. But you can login via
http://www.youwordpres-site.com/wp-admin and change the theme.July 25, 2015 at 8:35 am #123481shorshe
I got my site back up and running with the older version of the Template.
Follow these Steps (Works on OSX)
Open Terminal and type:
svn checkout https://themes.svn.wordpress.org/generatepress/1.3.04/
This will copy the previous version of the theme to a folder
The type
open .
Also type the fullstopYou’ll see a folder with the name “1.3.04” rename to “generatepress”.
FTP into your site. Open the folder “wp-content/themes” rename folder generatepress to old_generatepress. Upload folder “generatepress” from your Computer to the theme directory.
Should work now.

In any case it is necessary to delete the topic? Or Tom be able to solve the problem, and fix anything do not have to?

Lead DeveloperLead DeveloperSo sorry everyone – my first major screw up š
I’ve just released a patch on WP.org that will fix this.
Here it is: https://wordpress.org/themes/download/generatepress.1.3.06.zip
It will be available through your Dashboards shortly as well.
Sorry again – terrible way to wake up!
