Installing a smart slider

I can't figure out how to install my smart slider. Can you walk me through this? It doesn't seem to be as easy as the directions smart slider gives. I have a Gen press theme

Where are you trying to add it?

I do have the code and I am trying to add it to my homepage only at the top below the menu. Like at the top of the body of the page.
You can try using a header element:

Basically add the shortcode in the content field and that should be it:
