Inserting Snippets Within Content (Similar to Inline Related Posts)

Hi all,
Im wondering is there a method I'm overlooking where I can use GeneratePress's Elements to insert snippets within the content (rather than before or after it)? I currently use WP Show Posts and think it would be great to use it to show a post from the same category WITHIN the content, similar to what Inline Related Posts does:

It's part of my effort to reduce plugin footprint and maximize the use of GeneratePress and its affiliated plugins.
