I wish to insert an image ad at the top of the blog at https://crazyoverdogs.com/category/blog/

I will adjust the size as necessary. Can you help me, please?

Hi there,
you can use a Block Element:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/block-element-overview/
Add an image block to block element, make sure there is no empty text block after the image, if there is select the block and backspace delete to remove it.
Set you Hook location to generate_after_header
Set the Display Rules Location to: blog
