Insert hook between blog posts

Hi,
Is there any way to insert a hook between blog posts?
I use the column layout for displaying blog posts, and would like to place an ad between some of the rows. Is that possible using a hook? Or do you have any other suggestion how to do it?

Unfortunately there are currently no hooks available between blog posts.
