Inquiries regarding automatic generation of HTML anchors

I found that anchors are automatically created when <h1> ~ <h6> tags are used.

I use the <h1> to <h6> tags a lot, but I rarely need an actual anchor.

I'm wondering if automatically generating anchors meets web standards, and I wonder if it's okay to leave the anchors automatically created as it is?

Hi Lee,

May we know what anchors you’re are referring to? And may we have a screenshot and the link to where this specific issue is occurring?

Our products shouldn’t be adding anchor tags automatically.

Anchor tags should only be added when it is set as such: https://share.getcloudapp.com/xQuzJy7J

Hope to hear from you soon. :)

You can't read the content because it's not in English, but if you press F12 in Google Chrome to view the code, you can see that the id code is automatically generated for each title and subheading.

Anchors are automatically created when writing, and the automatically created anchors cannot be deleted. Is this not a generatepress problem?

These block elements seem to be Block elements from Gutenberg.

The id attributes are being generated by Gutenberg Blocks. This is not produced by GeneratePress or GenerateBlocks. They shouldn’t have any negative effects with regards to web standards though.

Hope this answers your inquiry. :)

thank you for the reply!!

You’re welcome Lee! Feel free to reach out anytime if any assistance is needed. :)
