[Support request] Info text for footer widget showing on page

Hi – I’v tried to switch off the footer widget by setting widgets to 0 but I still get this text showing on the screen (Home page):

Footer Widget 1

Replace this widget content by going to Appearance / Widgets and dragging widgets into this widget area.

To remove or choose the number of footer widgets, go to Appearance / Customize / Layout / Footer Widgets.

How do I remove this?

Are you using any caching plugin by any chance?

Can you provide a link to the site where it’s not working?

Make sure the meta box for that page is set to default so it inherits the Customizer setting: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/footer-widgets/#change-the-number-of-footer-widgets-on-individual-pages-posts
