its in the Blog Module, found in Customizer > Layout > Blog:

Note: it only applies to paginated archive pages.

Is is too much to ask to have the functionality at the post level? Enabling at the level of archives doesn't help when the source of traffic is SEO.

Later in the topic he refers to a couple of plugins - the Ajax Load More plugin requires a premium extension for single posts:

Thank you. Will consider the plugin. Was looking for a "free" solution but not everything can be.
