Index page - how to show snippets for posts, below toppage text?

Hi,

I am struggling somewhat with the GeneratePress Premium editor.

I have changed the homepage settings to "Static Page" as I would like to have some relevant text for my site in the top of the index page. So far so good.

But how do I make it so, that snippets of my recent posts appear below the initial text I just entered? I have goofed around in Elements as well as Section, but I havent cracked the code:-(

Please help out here
