I’d like to add an excerpt and feature image from my About page on my Home page. I’ve looked at using the query loop, but it doesn’t look like it’s the way to go.

    Any ideas?

    Hi there,

Any chance you can link us to the page in question?

You can use the private information field:

    Let me know 🙂

I don’t see the About page in the linked site.

That being said since the home page is a static page, would it work if you just create an extra section there to include it?

The About page isn’t in the menu yet… I’m still toying with it. It does exist, though.

I’m not sure what you mean by create a new section. Like a container?

Ultimately, I don’t want to have to maintain the same text on multiple pages.

    Yes

Ultimately, I don’t want to have to maintain the same text on multiple pages.

I was assuming that the text wouldn’t change constantly.

What was the issue when you used the query loop?

It probably won’t change constantly, to be honest. I just don’t like to do duplicate work if I don’t have to. Also, I’d like to know if and how I can embed content from one page into another.

I didn’t see any options in the query loop to select a specific page.

    I believe this should help:

Yup, that did it. I had to scroll way down the additional query parameters to find that option.

    Thanks!

    No problem 🙂
