Hello. I bought GeneratePress because i heard good things about the speed of this template, but i have problems with my pagespeed and my google search console. The principal problem is my LCP, upper 2.5 seconds (2,6 indeed). I use Automatize and WP SUper Cache, the images are optimized and and the load of the images too. But it's not good enough. I would like to know a method to improve it because i need to improve my SEO. Thanks in advance,
Miriam.

Hi Sergio,

I did a lighthouse performance test, and your site scored 99 on desktop and 89 on mobile.

It listed out some of the opportunities that might help:

1. Remove the unused JavaScripts which are for google tags:

You can try removing them, all using the cache plugin to do some optimization, this part you will need to discuss with cache plugin's support.

2. Reduce unused CSS, the largest CSS file on your site is from a plugin called Ultimate Post.

3. Ensure Google fonts are visible during page load. For this, you can go to customizer > typography > Google font-display, and choose Fallback.

4. And the hero section images are not supposed to be lazyloaded, you might need to reach out to the Ultimate Post plugin's support for how to not lazyload the first image.

Hello, thanks for the info and the research,

About the firs question, googletagmanager is essential if i want to use Analytics G4, so i can't delete it. Do yo know how optimizite the CSS? Or if there is some code i could delete without lost the Analytics G4.

About the append number 3, I have changed the google font option. Thanks for the advice.

And sorry, but i have not any plugin called 'Ultimate Post plugin', witch you refer in appends 2 and 4. So i don´t know hot to improve it.

Thanks again.

If you have to keep the Google tags script, try looking into the cache plugin's settings that might be able to defer JavaScript.

How do you build the hero part? The blocks you are using for the hero section are using that particular plugin, it might not be using the name Ultimate Post.
