hi
i already have a website for the last 10 years and not i have chosen generatepress to modernize 🙂
i would like to import a theme called Inbound to my site and i dont understand now will it import everything from the demo and replace my content or it will import everything but this pages will be unpublished and my homepage and other links will be untached ? So i can take that page and make it my own later ?

StaffCustomer SupportHi Dean,
When you import a template, make sure you import its content as well, as GP’s elements are stored as content.
The import process would not unpublish or replace your posts, you just need to delete the imported example posts after the import is finished 🙂
Your pages will still be there, but as you are importing a new homepage as well, your old homepage will no longer be the homepage. But you can set it back at settings > reading.

ok i will try it.
Another question, i have about 10 plugins installed and few of them work with caching and optimizing css and js scripts… should i first disable all my plugins and then import the theme, are there any plugins that confict with GP theme ?
thank you

StaffCustomer SupportHi there,
yes you should disable any cache/optimization plugins before importing or whilst developing a site.
GP will work with all well coded plugins.
But cache/optimization plugins do require careful configuration as they can cause breakages if all options are arbitrarily switched on 🙂February 27, 2023 at 8:57 am #2548863Dean

StaffCustomer SupportCan you make sure all the elements at appearance > elements are activated?
Any chance you can provide admin login using the private info field so we can take a look at the backend?

StaffCustomer Supporti am unable to change my look of the blog
What exactly are you trying to change?
Is there a tutorial how to make a blog page ?
If you are using the default blog page that is assigned in WP readings settings then these customizer settings would apply: https://docs.generatepress.com/article/blog-overview/
Or else you can create a Block element Content Template:
