I imported settings to my staging site, now I have issues with logo.
The logo from the old site appears whenever I try to change it.
I found a related issue from another user: https://generatepress.com/forums/topic/migration-to-live-site/
I tried the following:
1. Disabled WP rocket
2. Disabled Varnish (server side)
3. Cleaned browser cache and cookies

This is logo I’m currently seeing:
Is this correct or no?July 10, 2018 at 11:51 am #620492Junior Gong
The logo is correct.
Yet I tried 3 different browsers. safari, ff, chrome.
Cleared cache on all.
And the logo I see is the one from the imported settings:
//edit: Also confirmed by some friends who tested the site. they also see the svg logoJuly 10, 2018 at 11:58 am #620498LeoStaffCustomer SupportJuly 10, 2018 at 12:39 pm #620534Junior Gong
I checked with hoster, they checked the server and there were no issues. All caching was disabled and/or wiped
I checked the DB. In wp options table the wrong image appears:

Are you updating both the regular logo and the retina logo? Both are set, which explains why you’re both seeing different logos.July 10, 2018 at 11:13 pm #620809Junior Gong
So far I only updated the regular logo
The retina logo is empty and has been untouched since the initial settings import
Thx for the reminder, it was the retina logo setting after all.
I didn’t suspect it since the image pick was empty.
It seems that currently importing settings imports the retina logo URL, but leaves the image pick in ‘customizer’ empty. To ‘remove’ the old logo I had to add a new retina logo and then remove it. Only then the settings were applied properly.
I would love to see that fixed since I am working a lot with import/export of GP settings.
Thx guys for the outstanding support!July 11, 2018 at 10:57 am #621316TomLead DeveloperLead Developer
Sometimes that can happen during migrations with the core WordPress image control unfortunately – I’ll look into why. I’m glad you got it working! 🙂June 10, 2019 at 12:40 am #924518Junior Gong
The issue actually reappeared
I deleted the logo in the customizer + cleared cache. Yet the logo is still displayed in the front end
Even changing the logo to a different image doesn’t work
edit: the logo is not displayed on mobile anymore (as desired)
yet the issue persists on desktopJune 10, 2019 at 4:38 am #924654
