immediate display of posts

I have a site at bangs-generatepress.michianait.net. I think this question has a simple answer - I just don't know how to phrase the question in the forum.
I have created a page called "News" and put it in the main menu. I have also set Settings | Reading for blog posts to be the "News" page.
The title of the only post I have is "First" and it is showing up in the sidebar, but not in the main part of the page, where I want it to be. I know I am missing something simple here, but don't know what it is.

Where you able to save when you've set news as the post page?
I've checked your site and it doesn't seem like it.
The blog list page usually has blog class add to the <body> tag like this: https://share.getcloudapp.com/Z4u62jlL
but your News page has this instead: https://share.getcloudapp.com/BluYqx7G
