All images are correct in media library but do not display in browsers or in generatepress: appearances

all was fine 2 hours ago

permissions are correct on server . . .

Hi there,

Which images are you referring to? There shouldn't be any images in Appearance > GeneratePress.

Nothing has changed in GP since last month so if it was working 2 hours ago then the problem is likely causing by something else.

I'm also unable to connect to your site currently.

If you are still having trouble, a good place to start is to go through #1 here:
https://docs.generatepress.com/article/debugging-tips/

Let me know :)

I restarted the server, dumped server cache and checked for available disk . . . everything seems ok

the reference to genreatepress: appearances was the page preview that appears on the right side of the screen. the images do not appear there either!

the images are visible and available in media library.

on pages that link to .PDF files the files embedded appear perfectly.

the site is now up: http://dev.mowlb.org/

I would offer you admin credentials is you want

PS - CSS is working.

I also made a dummy page and the image inserted but seemed to go blank when viewed.

on this page: http://dev.mowlb.org/volunteer/ the caption appease and if you copy or save image it displays in browser or pastes into photoshop.

I think something is making (covering up) the image

when I activated theme 2017. Images came back!

I then activated GP theme - and images appeared, but there was some CSS errors when I re-activated my GP Child theme. The errors were generated from improper CSS (that's a me-bad thing). I have just resolved everything and am ready to call it quits for the night.

Leo, I can't thank you enough for pointing me to the de-bugging tips. You, and GP are very responsive and it is greatly appreciated

the site: http://dev.mowlb.org/ and I are ready for bed

=)

No problem :)

Glad you figured out!
