    Hi there,

is this on a specific page or post on your site? Or is it the entire site ?

What happens if you open a Chrome Incognito browser and view the site ?
Incognito mode will disable any extensions and disable caches that could be interfering with the images.

As a note – it displays correctly on my MacOS Chrome and all other browsers.

Sorry for the delay. Family life came in between my attepts to answer…

It still does not work. I started to re-do the pictures, to some are visible again. But everything from before using GP seems still weird.

Here’s an example, done in incognito mode in chrome. https://ichgebaere.com/tod-fruehchen-coaching/ Instead of showing the picture it shows only the ALT-tag.

If you Right Click and Inspect that page, it will open the browser developers tools. On the Console tab you will see a list of red errors. There are many images that are returning a 404 error.

You can try rebuilding the Permalinks by going to Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and clicking the Save Changes.

    Hi
    Sorry David for spaming this….

Katharina seems your site is not generating the images at diferent sizes:
    https://ichgebaere.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Der-Tod-meines-Sohnes-war-der-schrecklichste-und-schoenste-Moment-meines-Lebens-1024x1024.png this return 404 but this https://ichgebaere.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/02/Der-Tod-meines-Sohnes-war-der-schrecklichste-und-schoenste-Moment-meines-Lebens.png return 200.

Maybe have you changed the default wordpress image sizes or inhabilited the creation of such images (seting the sizes to 0)?

P.D. In one missing image I see there is not srcset, only src for the image (Maybe have you disabled the srcset creation?) and the size for these image is set to size-large (by default to wordpress that is 1024×1024) and this image size don´t exist.
Can you try to set the images sizes to full (these uses the original uploaded image)?

    Hi David and Longinos,

thank you so much for your answer!

I did the “save permalink”-hack. It seems it did not work.

The error occured after changing my host, so I needed to copy my complete database / library.

I guess it is something about that, unfortunately…

Hmmm… can you check in Settings > Media that they contain the Large and Medium values of 1024px and 300px.
Then use the Regenerate Thumbnails plugin to try and rebuild them.

I checked, those numbers are correct.

    and Preview is 150px.

I installed the Plugin. It now started to regenerate the thumbnails. It will last a while to complete.

But I checked with one of the old pictures. Yes, it works.

    Thank you so, so much!
