Image resize in gallery

A gallery is displayed.
Landscape and portrait photos are not resized which makes a visual impression that I don't like. I wish the portrait photos to be resized, according to the height of the landscape photos. How do I achieve that?

It's definitely not a theme issue.
You should get the same result with a twenty series Wordpress theme.
If their support can provide a solution for that, it should work in GP as well.
