I'm trying to understand "Post Format" on the Posts page.

From what I can understand, there is some default formatting for the "format" choices on the "posts" page.
Screenshot here so you know what I'm talking about.

The choices are:
Standard
Aside
Image
Video
Link
Status
I've taken the same content and put it into each format and it looks the same. Clearly, I'm not doing something correctly. Please help.

This is actually a WordPress thing: https://codex.wordpress.org/Post_Formats
You can style them differently so they can be reused.
