There're another 2 gb containers, 1 is empty, 1 is with the gradient background color. If you don't need them, delete them.

Actually to create a simple layout of the text area, the best way is start from scratch (a container block with text and background color), not using an existing structure copied from the site in which most of parts you'll have to delete or modify.

There was an issue on the tablet setting and I got it fixed, plus removed the section you suggested.
