icon for date on posts

I would like to have my posts appear on the front page, but instead of the text-based date associated with each post, I would like to have an icon badge for the date. I know some themes come with this. Is there a way to do this in generate press, or GP premium which I have?

So it's an icon that constantly changing to match the date?

Hi Leo,
Thanks for getting back to me. A couple of examples:
1, Siteground has a free theme called “Dreamplace” uses these icons
2. The All in one Events Calendar uses these icons in the “Agenda” view.

Basically it is a square background image that the date gets printed on. The number day of the month is in a large font.

That would be quite difficult to achieve with the way the current date HTML is set up. I could give it a shot with some CSS, but it looks like you've switched themes for now.

Let me know if you want to give it a shot.
