Icon fonts being sent twice

Hello everyone!
Been loving the theme so far, it handles extremely well.
Though some weird stuff has been happening recently, as it seems some of the icon fonts are being sent twice over the network, once from the website and then from the CDN.
Is there any way to hook the srcset and redirect it to the CDN before the request is made?
The website is hosted within Kinsta and using their CDN service.

Have you checked with Kinsta's support? Feel like they might be able to answer this question a bit better.

Sure, the fonts are the following:
gp-premium.ttf
generatepress.woff2
fontello.woff
star.woff
I was told by Kinsta that as long as the fonts are loaded through PHP instead of CSS there should be no problem, though I wonder how would I go about checking for that.
The GP icons (first two files) are loaded via CSS (@font-face).
In GP 2.3, you'll be able to use SVG icons, which will replace the generatepress.woff2 file. This option will apply to the gp-premium one a little further down the road.

I'm already signed up for the beta through the plugin, is there anything else I could do to prepare for 2.3?
The theme betas aren't automatic like GPP, unfortunately. You'll need to manually update to the alpha once it comes out. I'll update this topic once it's out if you'd like? :)
