I want to change date format
11 replies · Started by KWANGHO on March 12, 2023
hi.
I am using generatepress newsroom. Now the post date is 'yyyy-mm-dd', but I want to change the date format to yyyy-mm-dd hh-mm-ss.
Can I change it using childtheme or function? Not using plugins.
Hi Kwangho,
You can change the date format in Settings > General in your admin dashboard.
Thanks for the reply. already made that change but the value shown in the post header is only yyyy-mm-dd.
Try: Y/m/d h:m:s
Even if I change the format, it still shows 'yyyy-mm-dd'. The 'hh:ss' value doesn't appear in the post.
I want 'yyyy-mm-ss hh:mm' to come out like the image attached.
I see. For reference, can you provide the link to the site in question?

yes thank you attached!
That's odd. Can you provide admin login credentials so we can take a closer look?

ok i added
It's still just set to Y.m.d upon checking. Can you change it first?
Oh my god.. that's what you said. I didn't change the date format but changed the time format and thought I got it right. It's a shame that it was so simple. Thank you.
You're welcome, Kwangho!
