I don't have a sections option for my homepage

I just updated my website from the free theme Sydney to my paid GP Premium and I'm starting the process of putting in the custom settings. One thing that I had on in the old version of my site was sections - full-width with no sidebars, for all main pages, especially the homepage. On another site that I run with GP Premium I've got an option in the layout section of the homepage editor for using sections, but that option doesn't appear now - and I don't like the retro look of the sidebars on the homepage.
I've checked my settings in Generate Press theme and I can't tell what I do/don't have turned on to allow this option.
Please help!

the Sections module was deprecated a couple of versions back, as the Block Editor is better replacement for it and we're mindful that sections may NOT be compatible with future releases of WP.
More info here, including a method to re-enable them ( at the foot of doc ) if you really must - but i strongly suggest swapping to GenerateBlocks:
Oh, OK, that makes sense. I didn't realize that was a thing now - I hadn't seen that show up in my other website. I'll try the GenerateBlocks approach, and I really appreciate your guidance :)

For comfort - any site that was built with Sections will continue to work and show the Sections option.
