I have completed the sidebar options in layout but the sidebar does not appear

Hi there,

the Customizer > Layout > Sidebar options set the Global rules for sidebar display.
But they can also be enabled disabled in the Post Editor using the Layout Meta box:

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-metabox-overview/

And by using a Layout Element ( in Dashboard > Appearance > Elements ):

https://docs.generatepress.com/article/layout-element-overview/

Check to see if either of these options are overriding the Customizer settings.

If that is not the case can you provide a link to a page where the sidebar should be visible so i can see whats going on.

Hi, I've done both of the steps you suggested, but it's still not rendering a sidebar. Confused!

Then go to a blog post, which should have a sidebar.

Thanks

Hi Adam,

I just inspected a single post page, it seems you built it with Elementor.

The whole structure has been replaced by the Elementor template, so there will NOT be any default sidebar/header/footer appears, and GP customizer won't be able to control any of its layouts.

I would recommend reaching out to Elementor to see if there's any setting that allows you to use the default WP sidebar.

Let me know :)
