After clicking on the search bar, I could not see a search field where I could type any text

Hi Ajay,
The search field is the same width as the entire navigation by default, as you haven’t assigned any menu to the primary navigation, the search field will be the same width as the search icon as it’s the only element in the navigation area.
Can you try to assign a menu to the primary navigation at appearance > menus?
