Hey There ,

I noticed on a website that i used Generatepress and now for the project requirement i had to go with a blank theme,

The Biggest amount of autoloads as i see on my DB is from Generatepress.

Generatepress_site_library

Generatepress_site_library_backup

And a couple of more.

Now that i am not using GP on this website i can easily delete this, but i would like to ask in GP site what is safe to remove and what is not, also this kind of stuff are actually bloat and make the sites slower?

Thank you

Hi there,

_generatepress_site_library_backup is an option where we store the data from your site before a Site Library site was imported. This makes it so you can revert back to the way your site was. If that's not needed, you can delete the option. There shouldn't be more than one of these options in your database.

_generatepress_site_library or generatepress_site_library aren't options we save. What's the saved value of this one in your DB?

Actually they are a lot of Generatepress autoloads from the extension, i guess this is where you insert the options of the user from the customizer.

As for generatepress_site_library , unfortunately i dont have this anymore as i deleted it but it was too much stuff over there it was the number one table LiteSpeed cache was saying.

Maybe there is a way in the future of removing this kind of stuff if you disable GP or a button where you can empty those tables , i am not sure actually if this will cost something to the performance.

I just wanted to let you know, if you need any more data i can make a test site and send it to you.

Let me know

We try to only autoload things that need to be autoloaded. It would be good if there was a "Clean up" option in the Site Library that removes the backup if you're happy with your site. However, that option shouldn't even need to be autoloaded, so I'll see if that's something we can adjust in the next version.

Thanks!
