how to use sidebars for pages other than homepage

hey! I want to use a sidebar for pages but not on the homepage. There is only one option in layout>sidebar>sidebarlayout- content/sidebar etc. If I do that then a page like about us, contact, homepage shows sidebar. Is there any option not to get a sidebar on these pages especially the homepage
