I’m switching from OptimizePress, where I’ve become pretty proficient at building pages, despite being just an entrepreneur with no actual technical expertise.

My first task is to build a page using GP Premium that looks as close as possible to one that I built using OptimizePress. (here’s the page https://solvingmetoo.com/) So I click on Page > New and get a screen that looks to me like a blog post and already I’m stumped.

Where do I start?? Where are the directions? I tried opening up a couple articles about elements, but it looks like I have to know CSS to make an element?

A half an hour of clicking through articles later, I’m just very overwhelmed and afraid that this is nowhere near as simple as I need it to be in order for it to work for me the way OptimizePress did. I’m hoping it’s a lot easier than it seems, and I’m just missing something.

    Hi there,

I highly suggest familiarizing with WordPress’ default editor, Gutenberg.
Here’s an actual demo of the Gutenberg UI – https://wordpress.org/gutenberg/

You then install GenerateBlocks to extend Gutenberg’s functionality by adding more Layouting blocks.

I’ve checked your reference site and it definitely can be done with Gutenberg editor + GenerateBlock’s Grid Block.
