How to specify image that is used in Tags display?
8 replies · Started by TJ on May 1, 2021
Hello,
I cannot find where to customize or change the image that is being used on the tags view: https://shopdoge.xyz/doge-business-directory/tags/art/
Is it possible to specify 'no image', or to select an image per tag?
Thanks for your asssitance.

Hi TJ,
That's weird. There isn't an image added to the archives by default.
Can you try disabling all plugins to see if a plugin is adding that?
Let me know :)
Hi Leo,
Thanks for having a look. I disabled all plugins and it's still there.
...please disregard, I posted this message in error.
I just checked the site and still seeing lots of plugins activated.
Can you disable them all and let me take a look?
Please make sure to clear any caching you might have as well.
ah, sure, if you're actively looking right now I will. I had disabled and re-enabled quickly after looking 'cause it's a live site :)
I've disabled them again.
Hmm that same page went from being an archive page to a static page after the plugins are disabled and now it looks like the image is just the featured image:

Do you see anything uploaded here?

Oh, wow, so it's the featured image from the home page? Sorry for not noticing that, and thanks for the assistance.
That's kinda odd that there's not a way to have a featured image from the home page and specify differently, or no image for archive views, isn't it?
In any case, thanks for your help.
One of your plugins is somehow turning a static page into an archive page.
WordPress doesn't actually allow a featured image to be uploaded to an archive page by default.
Glad I could help :)
